1x Sprint Points award on Stage 3.
CRANEPART KoM COMPETITION
The KoM The KoM location is the finish line near the summit of Harptree Hill. Points will be awarded on each of the 4 climbs.
FEED ZONE
This will be the same location as for stage 2, ie on the B3135 opposite the turning to Priddy.
RACE ROUTE 95km
- Departing from Chew Valley Leisure Centre (Race HQ) the race is neutralised for 2 km. The riders retrace the same route as Stage 2. The race passes through the 1st KoM point near the top of Harptree Hill (8 km).
- After 22 km the race reaches the B3134/B3135 crossroads . From here the riders continue on the B3135 for 2 km to bear left by Red Quarr Farm onto Tor Hole Bottom. Continue to Chewton Mendip where left at junction with A39.
EXTREME CARE NEEDED. - Continue on A39 for 1km to bottom of hill to turn left on to B3114 (38km). TAKE CARE – likely to be several cars parked on the left hand side of the road.
- Continue on B3114 through Litton to junction with A368 at West Harptree, where turn left.
- Continue on A368 to Harptree Hill climb Harptree Hill – 2nd KoM point near summit (37 km).
- Continue to retrace route as above to then climb Harptree Hill for third time – 3rd KoM point near summit. (66 km)
- Continue to retrace route as above to then climb Harptree Hill for fourth and final time to FINISH & 4th KoM point (95 km)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- NOTE – The route for Stage 3 varies significantly from that used in previous years.
- Race HQ is approx. 8km from the finish. There are very few laybys or other suitable parking areas on the circuit. To avoid traffic congestion please stay off the circuit as much as possible during the race.
- Permission has been granted for spectators to park in the Wellsway Inn car park approximately 300m before the Finish. Parking here is generous, but if it is full spectators can also park in the nearby side road on the right slightly further up the hill. It is essential to maintain a clear road for the race finish.
DO NOT PARK AT ANY POINT ON THE ROAD.
Please follow these instructions for yours, the riders and other road users safety.
- Do not leave any litter in the finish area or in the designated parking areas.
- Shower and changing facilities will be available at Race HQ from 12:30.
- All licences will be returned after Stage 3 in exchange for the race numbers.
- The prize presentations for all stages and overall will take place at race HQ at approx. 14:00.
- The full results will be posted on our website bristol-cycling.com later in the day.
