STAGE 2 THE RIFLEMAN’S STAGE

Roll-out from car park. The race is neutralised for approx. 2kms

B3371 just north of Yoxter.

KALAS SPRINT COMPETITION
Sprint points will be awarded on the finish line at the
completion of laps 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 (at the finish).
CRANEPART KoM COMPETITION
There is one KoM location for both stages 2 and 3, ie
Harptree Hill. There is one ascent on stage 2, and 4
ascents on stage 3.
FEED ZONE
The Feed Zone for both stages 2 and 3 is in the same
location, ie. on the B3135 opposite the turning to Priddy.

RACE ROUTE 26km

Departing from Chew Valley Leisure centre (Race HQ) turn left towards West Harptree to retrace the TT route past the Blue Bowl Inn. Continue to cross roads at foot of Harptree Hill (A368) where head straight over. KoM point near the top of Harptree Hill (8km)
Riders then take in the rolling hills after the climb before turning right onto B3134 near the Castle of Comfort Inn.
After 2.5 km turn left onto the road used for the sprint primes and stage finish (B3371). After approx. 500 metres the race passes through the Finish area. The road then descends (take care – narrow sections) before reaching the junction near the top of Cheddar Gorge, where riders turn sharp left onto B3135 towards Wells.
The road continues to rise gradually for approx. 2 km before passing through the feed zone near Priddy. It then descends to reach the B3135/B3134 crossroads where the riders make a sharp left hand turn on to the B3134 (take care – keep to the left hand side of the road). The road continues to roll slightly before riders take the left hand turn onto B3371 into the finishing straight.
Continue to finish area to complete the first lap. Complete six more crossings of the line to finish. Sprint points will be awarded on the finish line at the completion of laps 3 ,4, 5, 6 and 7 (at the finish).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note that the Race HQ is approximately 10km from the Finish Line.
Parking is very limited on the circuit and not at all suitable for motorhomes.
There are a number of small laybys doted around the circuit which can be used.
To avoid traffic congestion please stay off the circuit as much as possible during the race or travel in the opposite direction to the riders.
If parking in side roads please show consideration to local residents.

It is likely that the riders will use the full width of the road in the final 500 metres to the finish line. Vehicles must not therefore park at any point on the road between the B3134 / B3371 junction.
If parking past the finish area please do so beyond the ‘Race Finish Area Ahead’ signs, and ensure that no part of your vehicle encroaches onto the road.
Failure to comply with these parking restrictions could result in rider disqualification. A parking marshal will be on hand, please follow their instructions.
